Weekly Menu Plan {Oct. 7th-Oct 13th}

This month is proving to be a really emotional and hard month.  I really should have expected it heading in, but as usual I tried to forget the reality.

We’re auctioning off my parents’ estate on the 20th.  Everything my dad ever worked for and built will be sold to the highest bidder.  It’ll all go back to the bank.  I’m hoping to be able to squeak out a post further explaining everything and to give my hard won advice.  But we’ll see how my emotions go.

Here’s our menu plan for this week.  Fall is here with it’s cooler temps and I’m loving it!


  • Breakfast Burritos
  • Oatmeal
  • Biscuits and Gravy
  • Granola
  • Cereal


  • Homemade Meatball Marinara Hot Pockets
  • Chicken Salad
  • Ranch Turkey Wraps with lettuce.  Creamy Fruit Salad.
  • Leftovers.


  • Sunday:: Macaroni Cheese with Ham.  Peas.  {$4.75; 10 servings}
  • Monday:: Chimichangas. Refried Beans.  Spanish Rice {$5.50; 8 servings}
  • Tuesday::  Parmesan Chicken.  Stuffing.  Mashed Potatoes.  Salad. {$5.25; 8 servings}
  • Wednesday::  Beef Stew.  Buttery Biscuits. {$4.25; 8 servings}
  • Thursday::  Sweet and Sour Chicken.  Fried Rice.  Egg Rolls {$4.50; 8 servings}
  • Friday– Pizza Popcorn Movie Night::  Canadian Bacon/Pineapple and Pepperoni Pizza. {$10; 10 servings}
  • Saturday::  Catfish {caught from our pond}. Fried Potatoes and Onions {75¢; 6 servings}
Total Dinner costs:: $35 Average Cost Per Serving:: 60¢ ea
