The Best Laid Plans Often Fail

by GettingFreedom on November 29, 2012

I have to be honest with you–I’m frustrated.

I feel like this happens to me every single time I have a well thought out plan.

It’s always either life or technology that knocks me off.

And as I’m sure you know by now, when I get frustrated I begin to shut down.

This time it began the week of November 11th with the Homemade Christmas Series.  I’m loving this series and having so much fun creating a homemade Christmas and sharing my ideas with you.  And then my card reader wouldn’t read my SD card so I was no longer able to transfer my photos over.

I replaced my card reader later that week–and now my camera wants to give me fits.

I had this series planned out, was full of ideas and had all of the motivation in the world to finish it.  Then this.

My plan wasn’t enough.

It frustrates me that I’ve promised something to you and I’ve not followed through.  I’ve not given up on finishing this series.  Quite the  contrary!  I’m still working on creating a  homemade Christmas–and as soon as I’m able to take and upload pictures of them, I will!  Please don’t give up on me just yet!

I keep telling myself that the best laid out plans often fail and life is very unpredictable. I just wish that wasn’t my normal these days!

How totally frustrating! I know you work hard for your blog, and to have things like this happen must just knock the wind out of your sails. I hope the camera gets the lead out quickly!

If I can be completely honest with you, while I have more sympathy than you know for your struggles, part of me thought if you had been able to post them, then I would just feel more guilty for having not accomplished anything. :) But I will definitely enjoy them whenever you are able to post. Maybe by then I’ll even be ready to make something myself!
