March 20th was the first day of Spring–although the weather didn’t feel like it in many parts of the country! Spring is a time for new beginnings, new life, and fresh, clean homes!
When we first moved back into our home after Project Major Home Addition, I was pretty good about keeping the clutter out and keeping everything clean and organized. Now, that’s not the case!
Since then I’ve lost my grandmother and my mom and clutter and disorganization has taken over as I’ve inherited a lot of “things” and as my children have decided to grow at rapid paces–leaving mounds and mounds of outgrown clothing (and toys). And well, life and depression got in the way..and here I am. Behind.
I’m ready for a change and to take back my space!
Over the next 2 Weeks I will be deep cleaning and reorganizing my space and taking you along with me, complete with pictures. I will fore warn you, some of my spaces are down right scary. Especially my home office!
Now, not only is my goal to end up with a clutter free, serene space–I do not want to spend all day everyday doing it. I’ve created a 14 Day Spring Cleaning Plan, based off of my Spring Cleaning Checklist, which should only take me roughly one hour a day. In some spaces it will take longer than that, but still no more than 2 hours. I can handle that!
6 Must Have Homemade Cleaners
Cleaning Supplies can add up pretty fast. Using coupons strategically will drastically reduce their price, but then there’s all the bottles and trash and the chemicals. Oh the chemicals. I don’t want to think about them really.
Switching to homemade cleaners was a choice we made a while back and I’m happy we did. No need to worry about my children helping out with the spring cleaning since the cleaners are made from everyday ingredients.
These are the main cleaners that I will be using to naturally spring clean my home.
