Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend! We decided to make it a long weekend and enjoy every moment we could with family and friends.
Friday morning we headed off to the hometown to spend the day with my mom. We got less than a half mile from the house when we had an encounter with a turkey. I’m a big fan of eating turkey, but notsomuch for running into one!
Saturday evening we attended a wedding reception for one of my husband’s childhood friends. It was entertaining to hear all sorts of stories from his younger days. I enjoyed meeting some of his friends that I’ve only heard about in stories–except for the fact that I looked like had a massive growth on my face.
And to think, this is when it looked it’s best! Yikes!
We had a great time Sunday as we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior! Lots of yummy food was consumed, and many Easter Eggs were stuffed, hidden and devoured! Many, many memories were created.
Thankfully the kids were out of school today for Easter Break so we had a chance to debreif from our chaotic, yet wonder-filled, weekend. Guess that’s also a good thing since our roads look like this::
All is well with us since we live on a hill. But, if you get a spare moment please pray for those that aren’t as fortunate. Many of our family and friends are affected by this crazy mess. As of today our area has experienced 16 inches of rain over a 3-4 day span. During these times I hold on to God’s promise that he will never flood the whole Earth again. But, it’s still hard not to wonder what the purpose is behind all of this.
Blessings to all of you! God is Good, and Christ is Risen!
Linking to Gratituesday.
