Make Your Own Flea Killer for Dogs

by GettingFreedom on September 2, 2008

Essential Oils are nothing new, they’ve been around for over a thousand years, but are just now starting to become more prominent in our culture.  I wasn’t really sure what to think about them at first, but I figured that they were worth a shot.

Tea Tree Oil  is one of those oils that doesn’t really smell the best, but the benefits are enough for you to at least give it a try.  I’m thankful that I didn’t let the smell stop me!

Make Your Own Flea Killer for Dogs

Here how to make your own flea killer to spray on your dogs, for much less than what you can buy it from the vet, or even from a big box store, like Walmart.

Purchase a quality, therapeutic grade Tea Tree Essential Oil.  My favorite is from Young Living, since I know what I’m getting is pure and very high quality.  This is essential because any additives could be harmful and it takes less when it is a high quality, therapeutic grade oil.

I’ll admit, I thought it was pricey at the time, but after seeing how little I used I realized I was wrong! I got a spray bottle and put 24 ounces of water and about 20-24 drops of Tea Tree Oil.

Yeah, drops.

That is nothing folks, especially when you consider how much flea killer costs! We then sprayed and rubbed it on the dog. Next day, the fleas were gone. Like that.
This same solution can also be spritzed in a dog’s ear to help with ear mites.

It’s 2 for one–and that makes me happy!

Young Living Premium Starter Kit | Over $300 in Products!

How to Get Started with Young Living

Young Living offers you 2 different ways to order their products. You have the choice of being a regular retail customer or being a wholesale member.  As a retail customer, you would pay full retail price for Young Living Products.  If you chose the wholesale member, which is what I recommend, you will receive 24% off all Young Living Products for life!

Wholesale Member Benefits
As I mentioned, there are far greater benefits to becoming a wholesale member of Young Living versus buying a retail customer.  I kind of think of it as a membership to Sam’s Club or Costco.  You pay for a membership, in this case it’s the cost of your starter kit which also includes over $300 worth of product (no other wholesale club does that!) and you receive discounts on your products.  The difference here is that you only have to pay your membership price ONCE.  After that, you’re able to purchase Young Living Products (everything from essential oils, to cleaning supplies, to food items, even personal care products!) at 24% off, plus have access to regular monthly specials AND free oils!  What other company offers that?!

The Premium Starter Kit is the best value to start your wholesale membership.  It includes:
