Homemade Christmas Day 46: Homemade Bath Salts

by GettingFreedom on November 9, 2012

On a cold winter night there’s nothing quite like a hot bath to thaw out your toes.  Add in some relaxing bath salts and you’ve got a recipe for relaxation!

I’ve given homemade bath salts as gifts before, but this time I decided to get a little fancy and add in some dried chamomile.

How to Make Homemade Bath Salts

2 Cups Epsom Salts
1 Cup Baking Soda
¼ Cup Dried Chamomile {optional}
25 Drops Lavendar Essential Oil

  1. Combine the epsom salt and baking soda in a glass bowl.
  2. Using a mortar and pestal or a blender crush the dried herbs to a powder-like consistency.
  3. Add in the essential oils.
  4. Store in an airtight jar.
