Homemade Christmas Day 45: Warm Vanilla Bath Fizzies

by GettingFreedom on November 11, 2012

Yesterday I shared the  Lavendar Chamomile Bath Salts as a perfect Homemade Christmas Gift, so I thought it was only appropriate to keep in that theme and share Warm Vanilla Bath Fizzies.

Homemade Bath Fizzies are relatively easy to make and make great gifts for children and adults!

How to Make Homemade Bath Fizzies

8 oz Baking Soda
4 oz Citric Acid {found in health food stores}
4 oz Cornstarch
4 oz Epsom Salts
3/4 tsp Water
2 tsp Essential Oil {your choice}
Food Coloring {if desired}

Mix up your dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a measuring cup, combine all of the wet ingredients including the essential oil and 2 drops of food coloring {if using}.  They won’t completely combine because of the oils.
Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry and combine them using a fork.  The mixture will still appear dry, but when squeezed will resemble wet sand.
Firmly the press the mixture into mold or 2 Tablespoons {as I did}.
Gently remove from molds and let sit until dry.

I packaged mine up in a cellophane bag with jute and a corrugated cardboard label with scrap scrapbook paper.
