Extra Extra ~ Special Holiday Edition {October 30th}

by Kristina @ GettingFreedom on October 30, 2012

Halloween is my dear daughter’s birthday. I like to say I had a little “ghoul” when she was born. She’ll be nine tomorrow and I think she would love a themed dinner with menu items like those listed below.

Miss M loves ribs and I think she’d get a kick out of Adam’s Ribs ~ A knife stabbed into a sweet red pepper and placed like a heart between the ribs.

Chili filled Coffin ~ Our family loves chili and cornbread and this idea is a spookier way to enjoy it. Use mini loaf pans to make individual coffins for your family and write their names on each one.

¬†Mummy Dogs ~ Hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls like mummies. You can use canned crescent rolls or make Phoebe’s Buttery Crescent Rolls. Just add little dots of ketchup or mustard for the eyes.

Sometimes it’s just getting creative with naming things you already eat regularly. Like calling mashed sweet potatoes Pumpkin guts, which by the way would be a great addition to your Halloween menu.

Have a fun and safe Halloween!
