Craftsy Block of the Month

by Kristina @ GettingFreedom on January 16, 2012

I love to be creative. If I could sew sew well, I’d be sewing up a storm. When I was little my great grandmother taught me how to cross-stitch and cook.¬† I wish I would have learned more from her before she passed, like quilting. Luckily, Amy Gibson {an expert quilter} is willing to teach me and anyone else that wants to learn to quilt- for FREE.

The Craftsy Block of the Month is a free year long online class that teaches you how to make a quilt. On the first day of each month {for 12 months}, the new installment is posted. The first 10 months/installments teach you two new exciting blocks (brand new designs or funky spins on traditional blocks). The last two months are dedicated to finishing the quilt.

At the end of the class, you will have full-size and one-of-a-kind quilt. Just like all of the classes Craftsy offers, you can view the installment videos at any time – when it’s convenient for you. And you can watch the videos as many times as you need or want to. It’s filmed in high-definition and it’s fully interactive, so you can ask Amy questions as you go.

What kind of skills did a loved one pass on to you that you cherish ~ not because you can make that item, but because it was time spent with that person?
