Cheese Bread Recipe

We rarely eat pizza at a restaurant, but when we do–Cheese Bread is a splurge!  There never seems to be enough to please our family of 6, and it costs me an arm and a leg!

Why had I never thought to add it into our weekly Pizza Night?  I’ll never know!

Now, it’s hard to go a pizza night without it! There might just be a riot if I try!

Cheese Bread Recipe


  • Your Favorite Pizza Dough {I use half of my Quick Homemade Pizza Dough}
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 3 Tablespoons butter; melted
  • 1½-2 cups shredded cheese {We like a mixture of mozzarella and colby-jack}
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • parsley


  1. Prepare your pizza dough. Let rise for roughly 10 minutes.
  2. While your dough is rising, heat oven to 400°.
  3. Melt the 2 Tbsp of butter on an 11x7 baking sheet in warming oven.
  4. Once your dough has risen spread out on butter lined baking sheet.
  5. Brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with parsley and garlic powder.
  6. Top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and browned.
  8. If desired, serve with marinara sauce.


When you are melting your butter, add the garlic powder and parsley for a more even spread.
