It has been awhile since we’ve had measurable snow here in Southern Missouri. The few times that we have, I’ve been just as excited as the kids to play outside.

This morning, I woke up to about 3 inches of snow, and 4 children that weren’t feeling so great. I still wanted them to be able to enjoy the snow, to some degree. So we decided to whip up a batch of Snow Ice Cream, and enjoy it alongside a glass of Hot Cocoa.

Snow Ice Cream
1 gallon freshly fallen snow
1 cup white sugar
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
2 cups Milk
Mix it all up, and serve immediately.
As my daughter said, “There’s nothing quite like Snowmade Ice Cream!”

I made some snow ice cream last year and the family loved it. I remember my mom making some when I was growing up in KS – fond memories. Glad you could cheer them up when they were feeling yucky.
This is fantastic!
I made Snow Cream for the first time last year. I find it completely HYSTERICAL that here in New England, where we have abundant snow, no one has ever heard of this stuff.
