I really don’t mind cleaning my shower, as long as I do it weekly as my Home Management Binder tells me to do. Just like with everything else, though, sometimes I get behind and the ever dreaded soap scum builds up. Hours of elbow grease seemed to be no match to soap scum.
But now, I have found a new weapon–which laughs in the face of Mr. Soap Scum.

All I have to do now when procrastination and a busy life get the best of my shower, is wipe down the shower door and walls with a Magic Eraser. Say goodbye to Soap Scum.
It sparkles and looks just like new! If you’ve never tried one before, do yourself, your shower, and your home a favor and try one.
Do you have a secret cleaning weapon?

Seriously?! Can’t wait to try this. I despise our nasty shower doors.

This exact use is what made me absolutely fall in love with Magic Stain Erasers! We have one of those large fiberglass tubs in our bathroom…I had tried everything and finally had resorted to scraping the stuff left from my hubby’s love for Ivory Soap…it was awful. Then, I tried this…and it is magically wonderful! I can totally attest to the fact that this works wonders on soap scum!!!

I like this product, but it kind of scares me to think what’s in them.

I despise cleaning the bathroom… the shower/tub being the main cause, because of the glass doors. I don’t usually clean them, and just wipe them off every now and then with my washrag when I’m getting out of the shower, because they never look clean when I DO clean them. I’ll have to try this! The scummy cruddy look isn’t very nice to look at

I’ve used the erasers too, and have been happy with the results. My favorite though is baking powder (lots), a little water and a decent scrub brush.

My sister uses magic erasers like they’re going out of style. Seriously. I think she could easily list 50+ uses for them.

I love these things, but I don’t know if I’ve ever tried them for this purpose. Gotta get at it. Thanks for sharing.

I seriously do not know where I would be with my magic erasers!!! SERIOUSLY.

I truly believe they add magic to those little sponges! I also use them to clean the film of grease that lands on top of my fridge. Of course, once I do that, then I start wiping down the whole fridge and stove!

I use Mr. Clean to take scuff marks off the walls and also felts and pens etc. You have to do it right away though or you have to use a lot of elbow grease.

I agree with Hiptobeme, they work really well, but are made of melamine foam. Wikkipedia has an article about different forms of melamine, including the forms found in the contaminated pet foods a few years ago. It does NOT say that all forms of melamine are harmful. It does discuss reproductive and other health issues associated with SOME forms of melamine. I don’t have any of these at present so am unable to check the ingredient list.

I tried these this week in the shower and I cannot tell you how happy I am for your suggestion. I hate cleaning the shower stall and this has made it so much easier. Now if only I could find a good solution for the floor. I tried the Magic Eraser on it but it just did not work (it is not soap scum like on the walls and glass. Thanks again for the great ideas.
