This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to the winners Kris (comment #38) and Danyelle (comment #17)! Thank you to all who entered, followed and subscribed!
When I was pregnant with Nicholas, our oldest child, I gained massive amounts of weight. Because of this, I have many stretch marks that adorn my belly and hip region. Which in turn have made me very self conscience, which isn’t a great feeling.

A few months ago I was asked if I would be interested in trying out Mederma Stretch Mark Therapy. This is what their website has to say:
- Reduces the appearance of stretch marks.
- Diminishes discoloration.
- Improves texture.
- Enhances softness.
Definitely worth trying! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I have noticed that my skin is a lot softer. Not to mention this stuff smells really good!
That’s not all! Mederma, in conjunction with Empower MediaMarketing, has offered to send 2 of my readers a complete Mederma Stretch Mark Therapy (3 tubes each)! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your experience (or your lack thereof) with stretch marks.
For additional entries you can :
- Subscribe to my RSS Feed (or by email)
- Become a Fan on Facebook
- Follow me on Twitter
These entries are optional, and you will need to leave a separate comment for each.
Giveaway ends Monday, May 3rd.

I’ve managed to escape both my pregnancies without any stretch marks but I still have some on my hips from my teenage years. I would love to win this!

I never would have expected it, but my freshman 15 left me with stretch marks.

I definitely have a ton of stretch marks from my pregnancy. I gained the normal 30 pounds, but I still had some from my teenage years.

I’d very much like to win this! I had a my beautiful daughter, who happened to weigh 9 1/2 pounds that rounded my total weight gain during my pregnancy to 55 pounds, 35 of which I gained in the last month of my pregnancy. This left my body with tons of stretch marks on my stomach, hips, and thighs. Any help trying to minimize these stretch marks and get me to feel comfortable in a two piece bathing suit would be greatly appreciated!

When I saw that you guys were having a Mederma give-away my heart skipped a beat. I Have stretch marks all over the back of both thighs, my hips and rear end and I don’t even have any children yet! So unfair. I gained about 15 pounds and stretch marks. I have tried several products to no avail. I would absolutely love the opportunity to try out this product. It has been the source of my insecurities and I will try anything to reduce their appearance. Maybe I will be able to date again…Well that is another story.

Oh my, I have them.. and I hate them!!! but the reason I have them are so worth it and i wouldn’t trade them!!!!!

I know the feeling of being self conscious about the stretch marks. My first child left me with alot of stretch marks, I even have some on the back of my knees from swelling so much.

I got mine when I grew about a foot in the 7th grade… and then some more when I went to college and gained the fabulous freshman 15. The good news is I’ve had 2 babies that didn’t ADD any more:)
So there’s no sweet sentiment to my stretch marks… I’d love to see them go!

I like how you used the word “adorn”. to me that evokes an image that is positive, not negative. I don’t know why stretchmarks are percieved negatively. Mine aren’t so bad, they remind me of the most joyful experience I have had in my life. The belly fat I could do with out though…is there a cream for that?? ha ha.
[Reply]
I had them but not as bad as most. I still have them though after 21 years.

I sadly have lots!
After three kids, I really don’t like how my belly/hips look. Really colorful, though.

I thought that I had escaped getting any stretch marks during my first pregnancy until after the delivery I saw they had just been hidden on the underside of my belly. Last summer when I was pregnant with my second child, my 3yo said the stretch marks on my belly “looked like tiger claw marks”.

I got stretchmarks during puberty. Some have faded a lot, but I do still have some that I am self-conscious about. I’d love to try this out!

I faired OK on the belly but the boobs and thighs are destroyed… just had number three and did get a little one on my tummy – it’s so dark – I can’t believe it! Would love to see if this stuff works…
Actually, it’s the brown spots on the face that are more bothersome, especially after an afternoon in the garden. YIKES!!!

Definatly gained many WIDE and still colourful strech marks from both pregnancies (17 and 12 years ago!). I also sport some not so lovely stretch marks on my upper arms… *sigh. Being overweight does not help with these. I would love to try something to minimize their appearance.

So blessed not to have stretch marks after three pregnancies and a 40 lb. weight gain with each! But my daughter, who is due next month got her daddy’s skin non-elasticity, has developed them. I would love to gift her with this. Stretch marks to a 21-year-old are HORRIBLE, you know.

When pregnant with my first, I was so pleased that I didn’t have any stretch marks and my darling husband didn’t want to tell me they were all over the underside of my belly, where I couldn’t see them. When I finally discovered them, I felt awful about it. But my husband told me they weren’t just scars, they were badges of honour for this amazing thing that was happening. Since then, I haven’t felt as bad about them (even when I got more with my two subsequent pregnancies) but it’s been ten years now and come swimsuit season I always want them to disappear. I’d love to give that magic potion a try!

After 5 kids, yes I do have stretch marks. But like other posters have said, it was worth a few stretch marks for the beautiful children I received.

I have 2 sets of twins, because of this… I have plenty of stretch marks. I actually thought I was getting lucky and not getting stretch marks with my first set, but they popped up full force at 34 weeks! This was only 1.5 weeks before my girls were born. 3 years later, along come my boys… SURPRISE! And with them, came more stretch marks.
They make me very selfconsious. When I was younger I wore short shorts, bikinis, etc. NEVER AGAIN! HA

I was so happy – I had two pregnancies with hardly any stretch marks at all. Oh yeah, I thought I was just the bees knees LOL! And then I had to go and have a third child. A pregnancy that I carried 100% out front. A pregnancy that for the last three months of it people asked how I could stand up without falling over/was I have triplets/etc because he stuck out that much. And that pregnancy left me with so many stretch marks I know joke my stomach could be a road map of the Chicagoland area. So, yeah, being able to try this out would be pretty nice.

I would LOVE to win this and give it a try. I was clothes shopping at Goodwill yesterday. Nothing like a full-length fitting room mirror to make you feel like all flab and stretch-marks 7 weeks after having a baby.

I got pretty lucky with my pregnancy on the stretch mark deal. However….. once my daughter started school, I gained a good deal of weight!! Now… I’m only 5’1 and it’s gotta go somewhere, hence I have “lovely” rosey stretch marks on my lower abs and we won’t even discuss that my hips & bottom look quite similar to a road map.
I would love to try this!! I refuse to wear a bathing suit anymore because of my hips.

I take lots of Steroids to treat Addison’s Disease, and now I’m gaining weight and getting stretch marks on my thighs and butt! ugh, I would love to try Maderma. Thanks!

Stretch marks! Seems like Ive had them all of my life, this last pregnancy was when they finally decided to crawl up my belly. It’s our reward for doing good things like; birthing a child or losing weight…
[Reply]
I’ve got ‘em! Haven’t ever tried anything to hide them, so this would be great!

I have stretch marks from my first little one, and would love to try this to help make them go away. The extra tubes would be great with the next little one on the way soon!

I have stretch marks from two babies! Would love to try Mederma.

I have some pretty ugly ones on my hips, not as bad on my lower stomach. Honestly I’ve never really thought to treat them with anything, I guess I’m lucky not to be too bothered by them. That said, I’d love to try to fade them a bit for free!

I have tried many products to help with my stretch marks. During my pregnancies I gained stretch marks on my chest and my stomach and they gross me out. I would love to give Mederma a try and if it works I promise I’ll recommend it to everyone I know! Thanks for the chance.

I gained WAY too much weight with all 3 of my pregnancies and have MANY stretch marks to prove it!!! I didn’t realize how many I had until I got to about 7 lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight!

Although I don’t have too many stretch marks now… I’m sure they’ll be on the way within the next year or so- when my husband and I decide it’s time for a third family member! The women in my family are short and tend to get VERY large during pregnancy… so I can only imagine what the stretch marks will look like!

Stretch marks, oh marvelous stretch marks. Why do I need to get a tattoo when I have my mid section adorned with proof I have had 4 children. My stomach is the consistency of a wet towel, and how I would love to try lotion to help make it back into the corkboard it once was. Of course, having that great stomach lead to th 4 pregnancies….

My teenage years were extremely rough on my body, and this now mid-twenties childless woman’s hips, thighs and lower back are COVERED with the ugly squiggles!

After 4 kids I have massive stretch marks! Have always wondered if these products work so thanks for the review.

I would love to give this a try. I did not have many stretch marks with my first but my second child changed that fast. Now I am in the process of losing weight after my 3rd child and I am wondering how on earth to rid myself of these ‘badges of honor’ so I can feel more like myself! Hope I win.
