Decluttering Update for March

by GettingFreedom on March 31, 2010

I’ve finally gained some ground this month!  Not only did I launch a full on attack of the children’s rooms, but I finally began weeding through our storage shed.  Our storage shed is packed plum full of STUFF!  In the past when I was done with something, or the kids outgrew clothes, I packed them away and stored them. Absolute foolishness on my end.  There will be no more of that in the future.  I’m so tired of storing stuff, and hanging onto things I don’t need and/or want any longer.

Here’s what left our home this month, either by way of trash or donation:

*Please forgive me, I thought I had snatched a picture of everything before I dropped it off, but I can’t seem to find it now. :(

You go girl! De-cluttering is good for you emotionally, physically and spiritually!

I bet it feels great! I’ve been tackling my kids’ rooms and they feel so much better without the clutter invading their spaces anymore. Great job!

What the heck?! I didn’t even finish reading all that you took away but I did conclude that you must have once decorated your kitchen in the “apple” theme!? Ha!

With all that “stuff”, why didn’t you have a garage sale and make some money from it? Not only would you be de-cluttering but also “getting freedom from debt”, ey?

Kudos for letting it go. Beware of any remaining stuffed animals, they reproduce in the dark!

@Sarah G– Ha! Yes, my kitchen used to be in the apple theme. I contemplated having a garage sale–but we have so much going on right now that there is no way I could organize one. I actually cringed at the thought of how much money I was literally giving away, but whats a girl to do? :)

@GettingFreedom,
While I understand how the busy-ness can interfere in the money-making…a girl can have a really good friend who loves to have a sale as much as she goes to sales and help another girl out!

If nothing else, I hope you got your tax deduction statement from all that!

Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!

@Laura–Oh man! I would have loved to send it to you. I’ll look around, it’s quite possible I still have some. :) We got a lot of ours from Thrift Stores and Ebay–you might check there.
