I’m very excited to say that I have officially switched over to the dark side to WordPress! This has been something that I’ve thought about for many, many months now. I finally took the plunge. With my switch came a whole new look, which I’m also very, very excited about! Joy, from FiveJ’s Design, did an absolutely amazing job!
Over the next fews days, and possibly weeks, we will be working out some of the final kinks of the transfer. Hopefully nothing too painful. If you were a subscriber, but fell off somehow during the move, please subscribe again. I promise it wasn’t on purpose!
Also, if you are reading this through your reader or through an email update, please click through and tell me what you think of the new look.
Thank you all for being patient with me during this transition.

LOVE the new look, as more bloggers transfer to WordPress I am tempted to look into for myself.
Hmmm… thanks for linking to your designer as well.

I’ve put the transfer off for so long because I was so nervous. Really there was no need to be..everything has been really smooth. The sooner you switch the better., so if you’re thinking about it–just jump.

Love, love, love it!!! Love the look, love the whole thing
I’ve been hearing so much about WP on Twitter’s #savvybloging that I’ve been thinking about it, but I haven’t checked out WP or the pros/cons, etc. I know SO little about html and all that other techy stuff, I wouldn’t know where to begin!!

Hey I LOVE the new look! I just popped over from Amy’s Finer Things and thought gee I wonder what it looked like before and then I saw your top 2009 posts were ones I’ve read before! Ha ha! I didn’t even realize it was the same blog! I’ve been popping back over to read the rest of Nicholas’ story. I don’t think there have been any new installments since you dropped the bombshell that someone actually injured your baby. I’m anxious to read how you handled that.

It’s quite the change, isn’t it?
I went back and re-read my last installment of Nicholas’ story. I thought that I had went further than what I did. Oops. Hopefully I can get a final installment published before mid-February. The final chapter, per se, is really hard to put into words without pointing too many fingers. Thanks for pointing out that I wasn’t completely done!

I love the new look! It looks so nice. You must be using wordpress.org so you can do your own design? I made the move to wordpress.com awhile ago but now I’m not sure if I can transfer over to my own domain so easily. Anyway, love the new setup!

I’m not for certain how it all happens, but I’ve heard of others switching from wordpress.com to .org. My transfer was easy with no hitches. It’s woth lookinginto if you want to move over.
Thanks! There is a lot to soak in..WP is SO much different than Blogger!

Thanks for the encouragement, I really should just do it. I like WP better now that I’m used to it. The only thing I miss is my blogroll, I still go to my blogspot blog and use the one there.

Uh oh! Phoebe has joined the dark side. lol It’s about time. I have only been trying to convince you since forever. I am glad to see that you are all settled in and I can’t wait to click around and see what’s new. (Like that birthday cake tank post you made. SO creative.) You are going to become addicted to WordPress because it is really user friendly and so customizable. There is a plugin for almost everything that you could ever want.
Take care,
Shynea

Grrrr, I really hate that everyone is going to wordpress. I am a visual person and like to see pictures and not just words with links.

@Kim–I’m not sure I understand what you are referring to. You should still be able to see the pictures in my posts. Can you help me understand what you are referring to?
