Menu Plan Week Of January 31st-February 7th

by GettingFreedom on January 31, 2010

This week is a crazy week for us, but I can’t wait!  I’m headed off to Blissdom Thursday morning, and I won’t be returning until sometime Sunday.  Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to stock at least a few meals in the freezer for Willie while I’m gone.  If I don’t make it easy, they will eat out every.single.meal.  Our budget definitely can’t take that!
  • Breakfast:  Pancakes.
  • Lunch: Venison Roast.  Salad.
  • Dinner: Leftovers

  • Lunch: Kid Cuisine/Marie Callendar Meals {Courtesy of ConAngra}
  • Dinner: Enchiladas.  Refried Beans.  Spanish Rice. **From Freezer

  • Lunch: Banquet Chicken. {Courtesy of ConAgra}.  French Fries.
  • Dinner: Homemade Pizza {Willie’s Choice}

  • Lunch: Hebrew National Hot Dogs {Courtesy of ConAgra}.  Homemade Applesauce.
  • Dinner: Spaghetti with Meatballs.  Green Beans. **Meatballs in freezer

A Whole New Site

by GettingFreedom on January 30, 2010

I’m very excited to say that I have officially switched over to the dark side to WordPress!  This has been something that I’ve thought about for many, many months now.  I finally took the plunge.  With my switch came a whole new look, which I’m also very, very excited about!  Joy, from FiveJ’s Design, did an absolutely amazing job!

Over the next fews days, and possibly weeks, we will be working out some of the final kinks of the transfer.  Hopefully nothing too painful.  If you were a subscriber, but fell off somehow during the move, please subscribe again.  I promise it wasn’t on purpose! :)  Also, if you are reading this through your reader or through an email update, please click through and tell me what you think of the new look.

Thank you all for being patient with me during this transition.

For my oldest’s 7th birthday he wanted to go with an Army theme and have a tank birthday cake. I must admit, at first I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do to pull it all off. However, in the end, it turned out just perfect and was fairly easy to do. For […]

Easy Meatball Recipe

January 19, 2010

My family loves meatballs, however I forget about how easy and versatile they are. As part of our New Year’s Eve snacks, I made meatballs with a homemade barbeque-like sauce. We devoured them! Not only do we like them by themselves, but we also like to serve them on french bread baguettes, as a pizza […]

Kitchen Oil Sprayer

January 13, 2010

I have long been leery of the aerosol spray cans of oil. After reading the label on one of those cans, and seeing propellant listed as an ingredient–I knew it was time to find an alternative. I found a pump-action oil sprayer. You fill the bottle with oil of your choice, pump it up a […]
