With #2 and #3 I had to take a blood thinner by shot. Both of those pregnancies were perfect, too. This pregnancy, my specialist didn't think I would need blood thinner, and so far so good! :) Oh yes, I agree! Us mommas go through a lot! I really didn't know how life-threatening it is until after I read more, which, didn't happen until I had my fourth baby. (I don't know why I waited to find out more?) However, I was fully aware by the second pregnancy of what sypmptoms to watch for and be in more closer contact with my physician when problems arose. My first (boy) baby was induced at 34 weeks after previous bedrest for preterm labor beginning at 31 weeks and progressively getting puffier until my kidneys and liver were shutting down and platets were depleting - quickly! My husband and I will still chuckle about the size my face/cheeks grew to! He weighed 4# 14oz and perfectly healthy! God is good and has spared all of my children's lives and my own each time! I had twins at 25 weeks gestation weighing 1pd 8oz and 1pd 3oz, on Sept, 3rd 1998. It can be such a scary thing to go through. You never know that many babies are born so early and tiny until you spend time in NICU. I feel your pain and fear in these posts. I had a similar experience with my first baby. I was so sick after having her at 32 weeks (3lbs 4oz) that I wasn't able to see her for almost 2 weeks.

But praise God she was healthy even though the doctors said she'd have health problems from being so early.
