I make something just like this, but I also add a packet of onion soup mix. It gives it a great flavor. I also serve this over rice, egg noodles, or any other kids of pasta. It is a staple around our house, that's for sure!

Yum! I make something similar with fresh sausage. It's a quick fix for breakfast or dinner.

Yummy! We have something similar - but I use brown gravy mix. Same concept. And we call it "slump" - it's just a fun name for something that doesn't always look appealing. The kids say it looks like lunchroom food - but they gobble it up. It's only of our favorite meals around here! And LOVE that it's so cheap!

My signature meal? I'll have to think about that one. I don't think I've ever "invented" a meal before. That's my hubby's department.

Growing up, we used to have something similar to this. Instead of cream of mushroom soup, Mom would use a slurry of flour and water to thicken beef broth with hamburger and onions. She served it over boiled potatoes. Yum! Thanks for the reminder.
