Here are some of mine:
(some of them are personal)

1-Declutter the house. Make it look more like a picture and less like a Cyclone came through.
I will know I have reached this goal when I allow pictures to be taken in the house again.

2-Daily study and prayer. I often come up with excuses why I didn't do this, but feel much better when I do it.

3-Be more of a 'Martha' for my husband. Cook new meals, clean house, make items, be a prudent wife.

4-Spend less time on the computer.
(this will help my relationships, my weight issues, my eyes, and many other things I need to do. All my free time is spent on here, and it is not good)

5-Calm my Anger and temper.
I am a screamer too. My poor children and husband have to hear it and I hate myself after I do it.
Need to stop saying bad words too.
(my babies are gonna repeat them and I don't look like a lady or a Christian when I say them)

6-Save money. Create a "nest egg".

7-Loose weight. 180 down to 130....over 12 months, that is about a pound a week.

8-Sleep a normal schedule.
Wake like a normal person in the morning.
(I stay on the computer late at night, then in the am I am beat and my kids watch Sesame Street while I finish sleeping. I AM SO NOT PROUD OF THIS, PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME. I really want to change!)

9-Improve my personal relationships with each of my kids. Find something that they like to do and that captures their interest and do it with them.

10-Get the kids out of the house more. Keep them active.

11-Continue saving money through rebates, couponing, trading, and selling used items.

12-Give more! I have always been a bit selfish. I realize it is more blessed to give than recieve.
(sometimes to the blessings recieved for giving something away far outweigh the money I would have gotten out of it for selling it.)

That is a start.
Now working on #8...I am going to BED!

Sara8567

A wheat grinder is not too scary, but it is pricy (so maybe that $17,500 is better and you can spend the difference on a wheat grinder :) and the rest on all the canning jars you will need. . . .

I have canned more this year than ever before; today I canned clementines! Oranges can be canned in a water bath, and some places have them on sale for 37 cents a pound this week (where I live). You can start your goal of canning your fruit for the year today! I learned to can many things this last year--pomegranate jelly, apricots, bananas (really!), applesauce, tomato pickles--in addition to the baby food and pears and peaches I've done before). This is my first time canning citrus and it is the easiest thing I've ever canned! You can can grapefruit as well; that's on sale this week too.

You've set some pretty lofty goals, but if you complete the goal of giving everything to God, I'm sure you can accomplish anything!

Hi there. Just popped over here from somewhere. I don't even know where now I've been blog hopping so much tonight.

Anyway - loving what I see and will be back! We need to start a journey to being debt free, too. My first goal is to pay off credit card debt, though - and then worry about the rest after that. Wish us luck!

n*stiches-

Great! I hope that you can become debt free. I long for that day, I just know that it will be great! I love the envelope system, it has helped us immensely. We're not as strict as we used to be, but it still works.

2009 is going to be great!

Wow what a great list! Thanks for posting! Our goal this year is to become debt free too! Since I handle most of the discresionary spending I will be going to the envelope based system of spending. I also made a wallet to help me!
